about

* Friday, April 24 * The Far Out Lounge * Doors at 7pm * ALL AGES Tim Kile is a recording artist and founding member of Grammy Award winners Arcade Fire and Columbia Records recording artists Wild Light. Kile has toured in support of bands such as The Killers, Arcade Fire, LCD Soundsystem, MGMT, The Wallflowers, and Doves. His work has been positively reviewed in Rolling Stone, Spin, Paste, Billboard, NPR, and many others. On the long-awaited follow up to Kile’s debut solo album These Things Are Being Gathered for the Fire, the 4 song EP DOA Designs arrived in early 2026. Melding orchestral chamber pop with early 2000’s maximalist indie rock, this is Kile’s first record with new backing band The Vines of Love. Comprised of long-standing Austin music scene veterans Ice Cream Factory Studio owner and producer Matter Parmenter on bass and recording production, former Ben Kweller drummer Rachel Fuhrer, and keyboard player/arranger Matthew Smith, whose complex string and horn arrangements define Kile’s new sound. Kile’s compositions continue to exhibit the sweeping romanticism of The Cure and early U2, the musical sophistication of Elliot Smith, and the lyrical sensitivity of a young Nick Cave or Conor Oberst. Set to release a full length later in the year, 2026 looks to be an active year for Tim Kile and Vines of Love. PLEASE NOTE: Parking is limited, and rideshares are encouraged!
